Signs You May Need Treatment or Consultation:
Conditions That May Require Treatment:
Procedures & Examinations:
An Intrauterine Device (IUD) is a small device placed within the uterus as a form of birth control.
Cervical & Vaginal Colposcopy With Biopsy
If you are experiencing abnormal bleeding, vaginal or cervical pain, or abnormal pap smear results, we can give a thorough examination of the cervix and vagina to determine if you need further treatment.
An endometrial biopsy is a procedure where a small piece of uterine tissue is removed for examination under a microscope. This helps determine possible future treatments you may need.
LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure) is a process to remove abnormal tissue from the cervix. This is a common surgical procedure to treat conditions such as Cervical Dysplasia, a sign of cervical pre-cancer. LEEP is also known as Large Loop Excision of The Transformation Zone (LLETZ).
Diagnostic & Operative Hysteroscopy
If you are experiencing abnormal bleeding, a Diagnostic Hysteroscopy is an examination designed to diagnose and treat abnormal bleeding from the uterus. After a diagnostic, we can also provide an Operative Hysteroscopy to treat abnormal bleeding, remove polyps and fibroids which are non-cancerous growths that may be present within the uterus.
Transabdominal & Transvaginal Ultrasounds
Both of these ultrasound procedures are diagnostic processes that provides imaging to assess the uterus, cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. This information is used to check for cysts, fibroids, polyps, causes of abnormal bleeding and/or abnormal pelvic pain.
A Hysterectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the uterus. This is primarily done to remove cancer within the uterus but can also be done to treat uterine prolapse, endometriosis, or chronic pelvic pain.
A Myomectomy is a surgical procedure to remove fibroids within the uterus.
